There are regional attractions located in almost every direction from Powhatan Plantation Resort, all within minutes from the security gate. Situated on the southwestern side of town, the complex is located on the west extension of Ironbound Road, less than .5 mile south of Monticello Avenue and News Road at Powhatan Crossing Road.

Interstate access to I-64 via 199, is about 6 1/2 miles east or west from this location.

Driving from Richmond: (Or from the west) down I-64 you would take exit 234, to Rt.199 east (Humelsine Parkway), and travel for about 6 miles exiting west at Monticello Avenue. Proceed to the second traffic light at News Road and take an immediate left, then turn right at the top of the hill onto Ironbound Road (Route 615). Powhatan Plantation is less than .5 mile on the right.
Driving from Virginia Beach: (Or from the east) down I-64 you would take exit 242A, onto Rt.199 west (Humelsine Parkway). Continue for 7 miles exiting west onto Monticello Avenue. Proceed to the third traffic light at News Road and take an immediate left, then turn right at the top of the hill onto Ironbound Road (Route 615). Powhatan Plantation is less than .5 mile on the right.
